Description

This vibrant and refreshing beet spinach smoothie blends the earthy flavor of beets with a mix of sweet berries, tangy orange, fresh spinach, and whole chia seeds.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium raw beet, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 2 cups frozen mixed berries
  • 1 navel orange, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons whole chia seeds
  • 1  1/4 cups water

Instructions

  1. Peel the orange, be sure to remove most of the white pith.
  2. Wash, peel, and slice the beet.
  3. Add the beet, spinach, frozen berries, peeled orange, chia seeds, and water to a blender.
  4. Blend until smooth.

Notes

I use beets that are around 4 to 5.5 ounces (113 to 155 grams).
