Description

This vibrant dragon fruit strawberry smoothie combines sweet strawberries, tangy kiwi, and a ripe banana for an easy, refreshing pitaya smoothie.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen diced dragon fruit
  • 1 ripe frozen banana, peeled and quartered before freezing
  • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 fresh kiwi, peeled
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Add the frozen diced dragon fruit, hulled strawberries, frozen ripe brown spotted banana, one peeled kiwi, and one cup of water to a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.

Notes

Be sure to use a ripe kiwi if you don’t like the sour taste of unripe kiwis.

I prefer a combination of frozen and fresh components in a smoothie.  If you use all fresh ingredients, the smoothie will have a thinner consistency and won’t be chilled.  If you use all frozen ingredients, the smoothie may have an icy texture.
